This stove installation features an F2 Vue Portrait. It’s a 5 KW multifuel stove and requires no air vent. The Vue Portrait features a completely cast iron body. Because it is a cast-iron stove it is very heavy. However, cast iron stoves are sometimes preferred because they retain their heat for longer than steel. But please bear in mind that cast iron takes slightly longer to heat up than their steel-bodied brothers. Ask a stove installer twenty years ago which is best and they will say cast iron. However, nowadays cast iron and steel both have the same longevity.
