We install an Ekol Clarity Vision 5 KW log burner at this home in Chard. The Ekol Clarity Vision is the wide version of the standard model. It’s 82% efficient and will take a 400mm long log. Furthermore, it is ecodesign compliant and Defra approved. We like the large glass screen and solid build quality. However, it is heavy, weighing in at over 100KG.

Ekol is the sister company of Saltfire stoves. Moreover, they are made in Wareham, Dorset. Every appliance that they make is Defra approved and capable of burning smokeless fuel. The Ekol Clarity Vision will look great in every type of fireplace. Despite the 5KW nominal rating, the Clarity Vision has a heat output between 2 and 7 KW. This is a great heat spread. There are not many stoves that will burn between these heat outputs. This aspect makes the Clarity Vision very flexible indeed.
