We install this Beldray multi-fuel stove in an amazing house in Burrowbridge. The fireplace, however, is tiny. The stove is not DEFRA approved. Because of this, a six-inch flue liner is what we need. Non-DEFRA stoves require a six-inch flue liner even if the stove collar is a five-inch diameter. The vitreous flue pipe (the pipe that is visible from the top of the stove) that connects the stove to your flexible flue liner requires a MA increasing adapter. Because of the opening size, it is very difficult to work on this fireplace. The chimney throat only just has room for the adapter. After much cursing and fiddling, I manage to connect up.

A new chimney pot is needed for their Beldray multi-fuel stove. Because of the age and character of the property, a new chimney pot will look out of place. Our customers go on a chimney pot hunt around local reclamation yards. Sometimes this can be so time consuming. However, our customers find a fantastic 450 mm chimney pot at a local reclamation yard. I remove the old cracked chimney pot and fix the new replacement.

This Beldray multi-fuel stove is probably the best bargain ever. Beldray first started in 1872. Our customers found it online with 80% or more discount. This is probably because with the new ecodesign regulations looming in 2022, it will be illegal to install non compliant stoves after that date. However, time will tell if this multi-fuel stove is the bargain that we think it is.
