Multi fuel stove installers in Westonzoyland, Bridgwater, Somerset.
We are multi fuel stove installers based in Taunton, Somerset. This stove installation is at a grade 2 listed building in Westonzoyland, Bridgwater. We install a non-DEFRA-approved Arada Solution 5 stove. Our customers supply the stove and chimney components. However, they contact Glowing Stoves for the Hetas installation. Our customers are fantastic and very nice people. It is a pleasure to work for them.
The chimney is very tall, so we have to hire a cherry picker. We find a local tree surgery company and they supply the hoist. Despite the height of the chimney, working from their machine makes it easy work. We drop a six-inch flexible flue liner down the chimney. We have to use a six-inch liner because the stove is not Defra approved. This flue liner is then connected to a five to six-inch MA increaser adapter. This adapter then connects to a five-inch vitreous pipe which in turn connects to a four to five-inch increaser. This increaser is not common. Most multi fuel stove installers won’t come across these components. However, this non-Defra Solution 5 has only a four-inch spigot. Thankfully this is very rare.

Slate hearth installation.
We always recommend using slate as a fireplace hearth. It is very easy to repair if scratched. Also, it is timeless and never dates. We generally use the Brazillian slate. It is very dark grey with a hint of blue.
